Outdoor Presentation of Twelfth Night

October 2, 2015

Outdoor Presentation of Twelfth Night Coming to High Point Public Library

Shared Radiance Performing Arts Company will lead an audience on a Shakespearean journey through the parking lot and surrounding area of the High Point Library on Saturday, October 10.   The play will begin on the Sunset Avenue side of the library at 5:30 p.m., and audience members will travel from location to location, joining the actors for a dynamic performance of Twelfth Night.  The show has a British Rocker theme and showcases vocal talent combining Shakespeare and the sounds of the Rolling Stones.   The performance will conclude in the lobby of the library.

This program is funded by the Friends of High Point Public Library and is free to the public.  No tickets are required.  Audience members are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring a light lawn chair or blanket, as they will be moving frequently.

Attention Book Clubbers!

August 28, 2015

We need your help!

We are going to tackle the job of creating a list of all the book clubs that meet in High Point outside the Library’s clubs.

If you are a member of a book club in High Point, we want to include your club. We will not share club information with the public unless your club authorizes us to do so for membership purposes. We will use this to alert area book clubs about Library events, including author visits, community read programs, book clubs, and to announce any new services that would be of interest to book clubs.

Please fill out this form if you want your Book Club included on our list: https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?oeidk=a07ebfir7rzeceef687&oseq=&c=&ch=

If you have any questions about this, please contact Julie Raynor at 883-3093 or julie.raynor@highpointnc.gov to be included in the list.

Thanks so much! We want Your Club to be “in the know” about what’s going on at Your Library!
