Book Festival for Local Authors

September 24, 2015

On Saturday, November 7th from 12 to 4 pm, the High Point Public Library will host a Book Festival for Local Authors.  All High Point and Guilford County authors are eligible to participate.

A table will be made available for each author so that they can showcase their books.  The authors will have the opportunity to speak with customers in the library and sell and sign books.

The library will promote the event throughout the community.  This event is free to authors who wish to participate.  To register email your contact information to nancy.metzner@highpointnc.gov.   Include your name, phone, email , website or any other pertinent information.   In the email, list the title of at least one of your books and describe the genre and target audience for the book. You’ll receive an acknowledgement and more details about the events. If you have questions call Nancy at 883-3650.

Deadline to register is October 26th, but space is limited, so register early.

Attention Book Clubbers!

August 28, 2015

We need your help!

We are going to tackle the job of creating a list of all the book clubs that meet in High Point outside the Library’s clubs.

If you are a member of a book club in High Point, we want to include your club. We will not share club information with the public unless your club authorizes us to do so for membership purposes. We will use this to alert area book clubs about Library events, including author visits, community read programs, book clubs, and to announce any new services that would be of interest to book clubs.

Please fill out this form if you want your Book Club included on our list: https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?oeidk=a07ebfir7rzeceef687&oseq=&c=&ch=

If you have any questions about this, please contact Julie Raynor at 883-3093 or julie.raynor@highpointnc.gov to be included in the list.

Thanks so much! We want Your Club to be “in the know” about what’s going on at Your Library!
