The Junior Friends of High Point Public Library are an important part of Children’s Services.  Every summer, approximately twenty-five young people volunteer hundreds of hours. Their primary responsibility is to register children for the Summer Reading Book Club.  In addition to running the Book Club, they also assist with various projects ranging from storytime craft preparations to shelf reading.

In order to apply to become a Junior Friend, you must be a rising fifth through eighth grader no older than thirteen years old. Applications are available at the Children’s Reference Desk beginning on the first day of Guilford County School’s spring break.  For more information call (336) 883-3666.
