Fall Book Club: What Does it Mean to be Southern?
Sep 20th, Oct 11th and 25th 10:30 am to 12:00 pm Book Lover’s Room, 3rd Floor, Library. The Heritage Book Club meets this fall around the topic of Southern identity. How have Southerners seen themselves, historically, and how have they been seen by others? Is the South a unique place, and if so, what makes it that way? Will regional characteristics slowly fade with time, population movements and commercial influences? We’ll read and discuss James C. Cobb’s Away Down South. For information about how to join the club contact Larry at firstname.lastname@example.org or (336) 883-3637.
