MOONSHINE AND MAYHEM: Bootlegging in the Prohibition Sout
2:00 - 3:30pm. 3rd Floor Book Lover’s Room Contact Larry at 883-3637 for copies of the book(s) and details. We’ll continue our discussion of a fiction book, Bondurant’s The Wettest County in the World, and a non-fiction book, Thompson’s Spirits of Just Men about the opportunities and dangers faced by rural people caught up in the illegal liquor trade during the 1920’s and 1930’s. Bondurant’s book is the basis for the recent film Lawless.
